James "Jimmy" Cox

James “Jimmy” was born in New York but shortly after moved to Donegal, in the northwest of Ireland. Growing up in Ireland, Jimmy played a lot of sports – Gaelic football, hurling, soccer, badminton and more. He’s still a big sports fan but more of a spectator now, unless you include darts & pool!

Jimmy has always worked in the hospitality industry, starting at a hotel in Ireland at a young age, then at Donegal Golf Club as a bartender. He studied Hotel & Tourism Management at Magee College, University of Ulster, Derry N. Ireland.

Mr. Cox came to the Metrowest area of Massachusetts in 1997, where he still resides. He has worked for many different service businesses in the area, from bars to high-end restaurants.

• Jimmy was a bartender for the Ryder Cup in Brookline in 1999

• Jimmy is related to Rory McIlroy
